Japanese pianist Haruka Yano completed her Bachelor and Master degrees in Piano Performance and Chamber Music at the the University for Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. Before moving to Vienna to study with prof. Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Haruka also completed her Bachelor degrees in Musicology at the University for Fine Arts and Music in Tokyo.
Haruka’s concert engagements have taken her to countries around the Europe including Austria, Italy, Germany, Swiss and Czech Republic. She has performed in venues such as the Musikverein Saal in Vienna, her performances have been recorded and broadcast by the Österreichischer Rund Funk (Ö1).
Alongside solo performing, chamber music forms an important part of Haruka’s creative output. She is a member of the Trio Prisma Vienna. As a collaborative pianist she has worked for Violine, Viola, Cello, Clarinet and German-Lied classes. She is an assistant at the University for Fine Arts and Music in Tokyo since 2020.
